It's the Visual storytelling, creative problem solving that I enjoy most; listening to someone’s vision and helping them bring ideas to life. Whether it’s through digital, print media, augmented reality or environmental design, successfully adapting the medium to fit the project and budget is a gratifying challenge
Art and technology are always enticing, exploring new techniques and seeing how they can be applied to the art medium. Sometimes it’s in the form of new software, or simply mixing up traditional media to get a unique result… and see what design boundaries we can push!
Juliann Langere is both a passionate and systematic creative individual who has worked in the Design field for over 20 years, with extensive experience in Digital, Print, Marketing Media, as well as Broadcast, Motion and Environmental Design. Her mother an artist and her father an engineer, she inherited the best of both worlds! Creativity is her passion, as is her enthusiasm to organize logistics to make everything come together.
Over her years working for the Univision Television Network, she elevated her graphic design skills for the broadcast industry, creating and implementing design direction and overall creative strategies for some of the company’s top tier projects and live on-air Award shows. Promoted to the Manager position and Senior Art Director of the company’s in-house design team, she assisted the VP of Art and Design in overseeing the day to day operations of the department’s staff of 50+ creatives, freelancers and Art Directors.
During her tenure at Univision, Juliann was fortunate to work alongside some of the best in the field. Working closely with the company’s Sales and Marketing VP’s, Sports Directors and award-winning Special Events teams of Executive Producers and talented Line Producers. This collaboration lead to spearheading a team of talented designers to create and execute design direction and graphic package execution of the company’s Upfront Presentations, World Cup coverage, and the annual live award shows, Premio Lo Nuestro, Premios Juventud and Latin Grammys.
Prior to joining Univision, Juliann was the Assistant Art Director for Rippen Publishing. Before that, she was a production designer for Levy and Asch Advertising creating material for movie junkets. Juliann began her career as an intern for the national advertising agency AC&R DHB and BESS.
Awards and recognition throughout her career include; an Art Institute Bronze for “Make It Shine” Wall competition; a BDA Silver for Premio Lo Nuestro Print ’98; a BDA Bronze for Premio Lo Nuestro GFX Package and Print ’00; a BDA Bronze for Premio Lo Nuestro GFX Package ’02; and a Silver Telly Award for World Cup ’15
